To celebrate the birthday of my shop, I’m giving something to one of you. And you get to customize it!
I’m giving away a 6 flag Super Deluxe Bunting to one lucky person. You get to decide the colors. You get to decide the word.
This sweet deal is worth $35!
Why is this bunting Super Deluxe? Most bunting or banners are made of a single layer of cotton fabric. This one has two layers of cotton fabric with a layer of flannel in between. Then, appliqued on the outside is a flannel circle and a hand-cut felt letter. The extra flannel and double layers of cotton allow your Super Deluxe Custom Bunting to hang beautifully. Outdoors, your bunting will not be whipped around by regular winds. The ends are loops to hang your bunting. Or, thread beautiful ribbon through these loops and add another layer of beauty.
You can choose a child’s name, a phrase to celebrate a holiday, or anything else you can think of. You can pick the colors to reflect your favorites, show off your team colors, or match your decor.
What if your perfect word is 7, 8, 9, or 30 characters long? You can purchase additional flags at a discounted rate of $3. (Woo-hoo!) So, a Happy Birthday banner (if you win) would only be $27. ($3 per flag for the letters in Birthday + an exclamation point flag)
To see more about these Super Deluxe Buntings, see the shop listing for them here.
So, how can you enter? You can help me out!
I have a craft fair coming up and I need to plan and get ready. Go to my shop and browse around. Come back and tell me what items you would purchase from a craft fair. (If you’re feeling particularly nice, you can give me other suggestions of what you think would work!)
Then, to get more entries…. (But you must go to my shop and answer the above question first, please.)
1. Blog about this giveaway.
(Be sure to leave me a new comment with a link to your blog.)
2. “Heart” me on Etsy — or let me know you do. (Be sure to leave me a new comment with your Etsy username or shop name.)
3. Purchase something from my shop before September 1st. (This is worth 5 more entries!)
On September 1st, I’ll randomly draw a name and announce the winner. Just because I feel like it, I’ll also draw a 2nd place prize for a free Nifty Little Bag of your choice!
You have until September 1st at 8 p.m. Central time to enter. Remember to leave a separate comment for all of your entries! But, you can only answer my first question about what I can make for the craft fair once.
I just love giveaways!!!

Love your nifty little bags, of course!
August 21, 2009 at 10:36 pm
I heart you on etsy, and I purchased something before September 1. 🙂

Love your gingham bag and all of the baby quilts. Other items I would like to buy at a craft fair are kitchen tea towels with either season appliques (pumpkin, Christmas tree, etc) or fruit or veggie appliques. I also love the diaper birthday cakes, although I’ve never made one. Also, this the washcloth cupcakes that I have seen are also cute. Hope this gives you a few ideas.

my favorite is The Stella Bag — Chocolate Eyelet Mini Purse, very cute! There are lots of other cute things as well: The Carissa Bag, Primary Flowers Nifty Little, etc!
Thanks for the giveaway!
August 23, 2009 at 7:42 am
Of the things you have, these are the ones I think would sell especially well at your craft fair:
Your Nifty Little Bags
Book Jewelry Beaded Bookmark
Laundry Bag – practical yet different
And since I’m extra-nice, here are some other examples and ideas .
Some things that are not greatly different than what you have but that would sell inexpensively:
– Mini Diaper Holder – to fit 1 or 2 disposable diapers, a flat small package of wipes, and a used diaper disposal bag. (Set one of these up with the items as example. This could basically be a fabric envelope with a flap cover that would sell for around $8. ) These would fit in a larger purse or backpack in case someone didn’t want to carry a diaper bag in a pinch.
– baby burp cloths in cute prints for maybe $5?
–baby bibs for maybe $6 – $8 I think having some gender neutral colors like green or yellow is a good idea for showers, etc.
– Maybe some cute soft fabric booties for maybe $5
– maybe some holiday related fabrics could be used – autumn, winter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc?.
To me the whole deal of a craft sale is to have cute unique things at reasonable prices. You might also have a photo album of your other work and – with a deposit – arrange for larger custom items.
I hope my ideas are helpful. Best of luck on the craft sale! I’ll keep my fingers crossed on your giveaway! I love the banner!
All best wishes,
Nancy

I would buy the Supa’ Cool Green and Aqua Coaster Set
August 24, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Happy birthday Lale Style! …and congrats to the lovely founder and sew-er extraordinaire! Of the newer items, my faves are the Tweety nifty little bag, the green & aqua coaster set, an the beaded bookmarks. I still really like the Carissa bag and the Stella bag.
August 24, 2009 at 3:55 pm
OK I LOV0E this banner! You are SOO talented! 🙂
And I have no idea what to tell you to sell. I would have thought stuff would have sold better last year. Hmmm. Maybe since the economy is coming back a little bit this year will be better.
August 24, 2009 at 3:56 pm
And I heart you on Etsy – crescentcitycrafts. 🙂 We should seriously get together and do some crafting. I’ve started making hair clippies. We’ll see if those sell this year.
August 24, 2009 at 8:04 pm
1. OK, I blogged about your giveaway. Sorry it’s short and to the point, but I’m kinda tired. 🙂
2. I don’t know if I “hearted” you or not… I added you to my favorites, is that what does it?
3. I just bought something from your shop! Count me in, sistah!
OK, here are my craft fair comments: when I think craft fair, I think nifty little things, creative, different, fun, that you can’t really buy elsewhere. So, of course the nifty little bags, the coasters, bookmarks… I know they’re not big money makers, though. Throw in some blankets, too. Ian is sleeping with his puppy dog one right now! (Oh the joy of a child who goes to bed at 7 and sleeps all night!)
You should make matching wallets/coin purses or cell phone holders to go with your purse/bags. I always like things to coordinate. 🙂
Did I do everything humanly possible to enter this giveaway? I entered so many of those dang Sew Mama Sew giveaways and didn’t win a darn thing! I even have an idea for my banner!
August 25, 2009 at 10:50 am
Oh my gosh.. I absolutely LOVE the purple rag quilt. I can’t afford it… but it would look so great in my daughter’s room and keep her warm this winter!
August 25, 2009 at 1:28 pm
I have looked through your shop before after being linked to your site via Karen’s blog.
I really LOVE your Carissa Bag. It’s my favorite.
I also think these items may do well at a craft fair:
The Stella Bag
The Ava Bag
The Coaster Sets
A Little Lagniappe Book Jewelry Beaded Bookmark
Square Hares GIANT Blanket
Fluff Farm GIANT Blanket
Aqua and Brown Child or Baby Quilt
Aqua Garden Butter-Soft Microfur Baby Blanket
Cowboy Blanket with Super Soft Red Microfur
Purple and Lime FULLY LINED Nursing Cover with Peek A Boo Opening
And I “HEART” you on etsy.

I really love the The Stella Bag — Chocolate Eyelet Mini Purse
August 28, 2009 at 5:02 pm
I would probably pick up the cowboy blanket (love soft blankets!) and a banner with my son’s name for his bedroom. He loves circuses and thinks he’s a ringmaster so it would be perfect
August 28, 2009 at 5:11 pm
I already hearted you on Etsy. Does that count? I might do a blog post on you this weekend, but I am still recovering from the first week of school, so we will see. 🙂

August 29, 2009 at 12:16 am
I hearted you! I’m AndThen…
August 29, 2009 at 12:19 am
I would be tempted by the potholders. I rarely buy large items at craft fairs, but I get small ones pretty frequently.
August 29, 2009 at 9:13 am
I particularly love the big purple patchwork quilt, but at a craft fair, I’d probably get a laundry bag. I don’t carry a lot of cash on me.
August 29, 2009 at 9:27 am
Large Yellow Gingham Tote Bag ! That is so adorable and the Primary Flowers Baby Quilt! I go to craft fairs to buy unique items like these for gifts. Plus, I appreciate the talents of the vendors who sell the products ACTUALLY made by their own hands. I love your material and pattern choices. Maybe some pillow shams in different sizes?

Etsy Hearts to you from harleyquinn007
August 29, 2009 at 10:53 am
I tend to buy small, inexpensive things at craft fairs, often $5-$10 crafts. I love going to see what people have to offer, but I don’t usually have the money to buy more expensive items (someday…). So from your shop, I’d likely buy coasters or a nifty little bag. I also think your banners are really interesting and unique and awesome though – it seems like that’s your niche. You should make a couple of “Happy Birthdays” and maybe “Happy Halloween” or “Boo!” ones since Halloween is coming up. I’m considering ordering a “Peace” banner from you.

August 29, 2009 at 12:43 pm
I like your aqua and brown quilt and also I blogged about you. But I have NO IDEA what I would put on a banner! 🙂
August 29, 2009 at 1:07 pm
I think the banners would be good. Obviously, they wouldn’t be custom, but you could do some fun ones for holiday or just ‘welcome’ or something along those lines. I love your coasters, too. Those are a great lower price-point item for a craft fair!

My favorite item really is the bunting because I’ve seen tutorials on how to make one and really it’d be best all around if you did it for me. My sewing skills leave a lot to be desired. I also really like the fabrics you’ve chosen for several of the baby blankets the swirly birds and square hares being especially nice because they are girly without being completely pink. The hostess set is a very fun set as well, and I haven’t seen one like that before on Etsy. Hope this helps with planning for the craft show, thanks for the opportunity.
August 30, 2009 at 5:20 pm
I added you to my Etsy favorites, so it’ll be easier to find you again☺ My user name is Strawberrygirls.

‘Hearted’
Pieces Of Me Pendants on Etsy!
August 31, 2009 at 3:17 pm
If I were at a craft show I would go for the baby blankets, the quilted blankets and possibly the laundry bag. We use a laundry bag like that to drop of clothes at the dry cleaners with our information on a laminate tag and they clean it with our clothes and hang it with the clean ones. Makes thing so easy!
August 31, 2009 at 6:46 pm
I would definitely buy the Amy Butler Daisy Chain hostess gift set at a craft fair. It’s really pretty!

I would buy the Flower Power Super Laundry Bag if I were to stroll by your booth at a craft fair–I need more storage for soiled cloth diapers since baby #2 will be joining us soon and adding to the pile of laundry!
